The Brief: Design a pioneer themed calendar for iSteel, a 20-year-old steel bar manufacturing company in India.
Design Challenge: Since the theme of ‘pioneers’ was already decided upon, I needed to find a way to bring this out in print as creatively as possible.
The Outcome: Carefully art directed illustrations that highlight the characteristics of twelve world renowned personalities, each a pioneer in their own spheres of work. Mind mapping was done for each individual, and his main characteristics and accomplishments were noted. Then, visual references were collected for each of these elements, and I sketched compositions incorporating said elements. This was then re-illustrated and edited, and the final layouts were crafted around them.
